Silver Lining: Dion Kitson at JW Evans
In 2024 Birmingham based artist Dion Kitson presented his new exhibition Silver Lining at the JW Evans Silver Factory. Inspired by and installed within the spaces of the factory, the exhibition also coincided with the artist’s first major solo exhibition, at Ikon Gallery in Birmingham.
Artist spotlight:
Kitson is a contemporary British artist recognized for his diverse works. Born and raised in Dudley, Kitson draws much of his inspiration from his hometown and lived experiences. Often incorporating found objects, such as old footballs from the canal or a car tyre from a towpath, into his works.
