The castle tearoom in the Royal Garrison Artillery Barracks serves up food as fabulous as the views of the keep and the sea beyond. Full of seasonal Cornish ingredients, with regulars like Cornish pasties, soup of the day, freshly made sandwiches and Ploughman’s lunches, as well as our Catch of the Day special.

We are proud to support local producers. We get our cider and fruit juice from Cornish Orchards, our beer from the Rebel Brewing Company, our bread from Baker Tom and our clotted cream from Rodda's.

Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free options are always available, and we have a special lunchbox for smaller visitors, with a filled roll, carton of drink, cookie, fruit or raisin bag. There's also a stash of books and crayons to keep them busy while you enjoy your lunch. High chairs, bottle and food warming are available.

We have plenty of seats inside and out, and if you're feeling more adventurous, you can picnic on the grassy spaces around the castle.

The tearoom is open when the castle is open, though the tearoom closes 30 minutes earlier.
