Step into the enchanting world of Tudor Christmas at Walmer Castle in this family workshop! Immerse yourself in the festive spirit as Henry VIII, portrayed by the talented David Smith, regales you with captivating tales of yuletide feasting, customs and celebrations.
Discover how Henry’s court hosted over a thousand guests for the Christmas feast, when kings and nobles were expected to host magnanimous feasts, keep an open house and be wholly hospitable for the duration of the 12 days of Christmas.
During this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own Tudor Rose, a symbol of England, and learn the intricate steps of Tudor dancing. Join us for a memorable experience that combines history, creativity and merriment!
