Heritage is for everybody, and we are here for heritage.

Heritage lives in places and people, memories and stories, artefacts and traditions. It can connect us all to the past, and to each other. It can make us happier, strengthen every community, and help shape society for the better. Everybody should be able to enjoy the benefits it brings.

That's why, as a charity, we care for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites in every part of England, from international icons to local treasures. And it's why we open them up, share their stories and find new ways for everybody to enjoy, learn, play and create.

Managed by English Heritage the Historic and Botanic Garden Training Programme (HBGTP) was founded in 2006 and provides work-based garden training placements for those seeking a career in horticulture.

We are looking for a Business Support Officer to join the HBGTP team. The role is part time for a fixed term of 8 months working 21.6 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time job, working from home with a friendly team. As Business Support Officer (BSO) you will support the HBGTP Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of the Historic & Botanic Garden Training Programme.

As BSO for the HBGTP you will be involved in everything from social media content creation and management to assisting with trainee bursary funding applications and important events such as trainee study tours, seminars and graduation.

With gardens located around the UK, the post offers the flexibility to work from home, with occasional overnight stays and travel required to attend meetings and events at other sites.
