Enjoy a feast of tasty food after exploring the famous battlefield. The abbey tearoom sells a variety of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks, homemade soups, salads and ice cream, alongside a changing menu of specials. There’s a wide range of cakes and bakes available, including homemade scones served with jam and clotted cream, along with our history-inspired specialities, Saxon Oat Cake and Norman Spiced Cake.

There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and all of our food and drinks can be served in sustainable takeaway packaging.

We always have vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options available, and there’s a range of choices for children including lunch bags – perfect to take to the adventure playground, just opposite the tearoom.
