The White Kitchen Company proudly craft English Heritage kitchens in their workshop in England entirely from fully certified sustainable hardwood. The cabinets are painted using The White Kitchen Company’s newly formulated English Heritage furniture paint, which has an extremely low volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
When designing the range of cabinetry, the design team gathered inspiration from many English Heritage historic sites including Apsley House, Down House and Brodsworth Hall. Our creative journey led them to some unexpected sources, from the charming cornice on a maid’s long-forgotten wardrobe to a delightfully panelled window shutter at Darwin’s Down House.
By shopping these exclusive collections you're further supporting the valuable work of English Heritage in caring for hundreds of sites and millions of artefacts from England's history.
Timeless Craftsmanship and pleasing aesthetics
This beautiful collection showcases expertly crafted cabinetry made from FSC-certified hardwood, ensuring durability and traditional craftsmanship. The cabinets feature dovetail-jointed hardwood carcasses for strength, while the solid oak drawers are also dovetail jointed and adorned with 18th-century-style cock beading. The drawer fronts include raised and fielded panels for added elegance, whilst the cabinet doors are made from solid hardwood, featuring mortise and tenon joints with a delicate cock bead around the flat centre panel.
The collection also includes decorative panelled pillars that visually separate sections of cabinetry and add a period feel, particularly in staggered or corner placements. The distinctive Ogee skirting, inspired by Victorian design, features an ornamental S-curve profile, completing the range with a touch of elegance.
