Testimonial

A wonderful, personalised welcome. We felt so at home and were really impressed by the standards and attention to detail. Keelie was so thoughtful in the small touches.

The cottage was beautifully clean, superbly appointed and very comfortable. This was our first time staying at an English Heritage cottage, but we will definitely look to book another. I highly recommend.

South Lodge was in a fantastic location. Wonderful to be able to walk around the deserted battlefield and abbey in the evenings and close to the coast and other interesting places to visit too. The cottage was very well equipped and cosy. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including being able to walk into Battle for food shopping and a meal out.

The cottage was so warm and welcoming when we arrived and cleaned to a very high standard. The furnishings in the cottage were exceedingly comfortable with fluffy white towels and gorgeous beds. We all enjoyed the board games and books provided and couldn’t have asked for more.
