Accessed via Lodge Lane. Car park is about 50 metres on gravel path from admissions entrance building; car park surface uneven earth and grass. 

For those without cars, pedestrian access is also available from Lynn Road.

The shops sells a variety of gifts and souvenirs and is not run by English Heritage.

There are toilets facilities (including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities) in the car park open evey day from April until October while the castle is open, and open at weekends only in the from November to March while the castle is open.
