Sir Bevil Grenville's Monument was erected in the 18th century to commemorate the Royalist commander and his Cornish pikemen who fought at the Battle of Lansdown, 1643.

Sir Bevil Grenville's Monument lies along the Cotswold Way and is an interesting feature to incorporate on your walk.
The charming town of Bradford-on-Avon is home to a magnificent tithe barn dating from the 14th century. From there it's a short trip to Farleigh Hungerford Castle, where visitors can discover the intriguing story of the Hungerford family, and explore the castle's ruins, gardens and chapel.
