Before You Go

Parking: Free parking is available in a layby in Oathill Lane.

How to Find It: From the crossroads in the centre of Rodmarton, follow the sign for Hazelton. Park in the layby approximately half a mile along Oathill Lane. To reach the barrow from the layby, look for the signpost and walk 250 metres along the field edge.

Access: The walk from the layby can be muddy in wet weather.

Facilities: Facilities and shops can be found nearby in Kemble.

Dogs: Assistance dogs only.

Windmill Hill Tump is one of four Gloucestershire long barrows in the care of English Heritage which make up a circular tour. Nympsfield Long Barrow, Uley Long Barrow and Belas Knap are all fine examples of Gloucestershire's Neolithic history.
