Join us for a fun day of activities, crafts and mini-tours to experience the fort using your senses.
Learn about Roman life, their beliefs and connections with wildlife and the Northumberland landscape by taking on our sensory challenges. Join a sensory walk with our historians, get hands on making your own mini-mosaic and animal symbol, or touch and smell Roman items linked with the fort’s past.
Free admission is available for residents in postcodes NE46 – 49, and CA8 with proof of address*.
*Free entry valid on Saturday 11 April only for residents in postcodes NE46, NE47, NE48, NE49 and CA8. Walk up only, not available on pre-booked tickets. Entry for up to 2 adults and 3 children per proof of address.
Sensing the Fort is part of the Shared Horizons project, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
