English Heritage is preparing to undertake urgent repairs to Walmer Castle in order to conserve the building and its important historic collection for future generations.

However, given the extremely serious nature of the recent allegations concerning Hamish Ogston, English Heritage has decided to sever its ties with the Hamish Ogston Foundation – of which Hamish Ogston is the Chair.

Hurst Castle – Collapse of Section of East Wing Wall
A section of the wall on the 19th-century east wing of Hurst Castle in Hampshire collapsed on the afternoon of Friday 26 February 2021, after the sea exposed and undercut its foundations.
