Hurst Castle – Collapse of Section of East Wing Wall
A section of the wall on the 19th-century east wing of Hurst Castle in Hampshire collapsed on the afternoon of Friday 26 February 2021, after the sea exposed and undercut its foundations.

In our role as guardian of Stonehenge, English Heritage welcomes the Government’s plans to invest in a fully bored tunnel of at least 2.9km to remove a large part of the existing A303 from the Stonehenge World Heritage Site.
