Whether you're planning an education visit to one of our sites, or have already got your booking sorted and need to make an change or cancellation, here you will find all you need to know about bookings for education groups.

 

Making a booking

We’re upgrading our booking system between 2-10 February 2026 and won’t be able to take bookings during this time.

Please contact bookeducation@english-heritage.org.uk for any queries about existing bookings. If you’ve already got in touch with us, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can, but please note that we may take slightly longer than usual to respond.

In the meantime, take a look at our five steps to planing a trip and see what's on offer at our sites. 

If you've booked with us before, when we re-open bookings you'll need to activate your account on our new booking portal. If you've not booked with us before, you'll need to register for an account.

Please also have ready your:

  • Visit arrival and departure time
  • Age range of the group
  • Subject(s) to be studied
  • Learning objective
  • Number of leaders and learners in the group
  • Name of trip organiser
  • Name of trip leader
  • SEND requirements
  • Emergency contact number (We require an emergency telephone number in the event that we need to contact the group leader urgently on the day of your visit if there is an issue e.g. an emergency at the site, lost property, or managing large groups)

  • How do I amend or cancel my booking?

    Cancellations must be made using the form on this page, otherwise we will not be able to process it. Please do so at least 14 days before your visit, otherwise you may still be charged.

    If you are cancelling your trip on the same day it is due to start, please continue to use the form on this page and also refer to our Terms and Conditions.
