Discover St Mawes Castle

This spacious and airy single storey holiday cottage sits in a private garden approximately 100m from St Mawes Castle, providing uninterrupted views of the spectacular Cornish coastline.

Due to its commanding position, in the Second World War the Fort House was used by the military as an observation post. In this time, the roof was reinforced with two feet of concrete to protect it from an aerial attack, making it bomb proof from enemy aircraft.

A short walk from the cottage leads you to the centre of the picturesque fishing village of St Mawes, complete with whitewashed cottages, galleries, character pubs and restaurants.

With St Mawes historic harbour, rock pools and sandy beaches, this really is the idyllic Cornish escape with a fascinating historic story.

Great location with fantastic views from the garden, kitchen & living room. The property was very clean and the food hamper left for us made us feel welcome. It's easy to walk from the property to St Mawes & the surrounding countryside so guests can have days out without having to drive. Obviously an ideal place for those who like sailing & fishing etc. We would definitely return.
