You can book online until 8.45am on the day of your visit. You can still buy a ticket when you arrive, but you won’t get the discount. 

Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

You can join as a member online or during your visit.

Wheelchair Access
We have portable ramps to access the site (there is a step up from the shop to the site), but this only allows access to part of the site due to steps and uneven surfaces.
Disabled Parking
No separately allocated disabled parking spaces.
Stairs
Several flights of three or four stairs. No other way round and several raised steps in doorways. One longer staircase to boiler room (not accessible to public).
Seating And Restpoints
Two benches, one near the entrance and the other at the far end of the site.

Trip Hazard
We have historic steps, low ruined walls (though not hidden), uneven grass surfaces and sometimes the rabbits like to dig up part of the grounds.
Sheer Drop
Only drop is down longer staircase to boiler room. It has railings round the top.
Slip Hazard
Flagstones in transepts can become very slippery when wet, as can the stonework around the site.
Steep Slope
One small bank.
Steep Stairs
Spiral staircase to upper level not open to public.
Beware Of Traffic
Traffic in the car parks
Uneven Ground
The grassed surface of the site is uneven, protruding stonework can constitute a trip hazard.
