Dog Bowl and Toileting
A dog waste bin is located on the far side of the river (through the car park) and water is available from the stream on site. Visitors are asked to please pick up after their dogs.
Wheelchair Access
The majority of the site is wheelchair accessible (except for the keep, which can only be accessed by a steep staircase).
Entrance / Set Down
Disabled visitors can be set down next to the site entrance. No prior arrangement is necessary.

There are three disabled parking spaces located directly opposite the castle (20 feet from entrance).

There are a number of steps leading up to the castle from the entrance, and a further set of steep steps leading up to the keep.

Benches are located near to the entrance, at the base of the keep steps, at the lower end of the barbican passage and in the great hall. There are also a number of picnic tables in the field.
Pathways Surface And Gradients
The main pathway surfaces include gravel, grass slopes, and historic flagstones which are uneven in places. Pathway to the keep includes a steep grassed slope.
