A dog bowl containing fresh water is available outside the shop.
Wheelchair Access
Access is via reinforced grass pathways. Manual wheelchair users are advised to bring an assistant.
Entrance / Set Down
Disabled visitors can be set down close to the Visitor Centre. This needs to be arranged in advance so we can unlock the relevant gate at the right time and provide specific instructions.
Disabled Parking
There are no specified disabled spaces in the car park. The car park is approximately 100m from the Visitor Centre, down a narrow gravel path.

Stairs
There are connecting steps between different levels of the site (less than 10 at a time). There are also stairs up the rampart, and steep and narrow ladder-esque steps up to the top of the gateway.

Seating And Restpoints
The site is large and open with very little shelter. There are no seats inside the fort walls but there are 6 picnic benches and 3 seats adjacent to the Visitor Centre.

Reinforced grass pathways across the site. There is also a public road that needs to be crossed to access the amphitheatre.

The ground is uneven, at multiple levels and contains multiple rabbit and mole holes and other trip hazards.
Sheer Drop
There is an unmarked sheer drop running the length of the eastern side of the site. The railway track is below. The gateway is eight metres above the ground, but there is safety fencing around its perimeter.
Slip Hazard
The grass, ditches, wooden bridge, paths and steps on site can be slippery in wet weather.

There are numerous steep grassy ditches.
