The nearest bus stop is Tintagel Visitor Centre. This is a 1-mile walk from the castle entrance. Bus 95 runs from Bude to Newquay via Boscastle, Tintagel, Camelford and Wadebridge. See Go Cornwall website for timetables.

Bus connections are available from Truro at St Columb Major, from Bodmin and Padstow at Wadebridge, and at Bude from Okehampton and Holsworthy.

  • Train Access

The nearest station is Bodmin Parkway (19 miles). To reach Tintagel, catch Bus 11 from outside the station to Wadebridge, then change to Bus 95 for Tintagel (90-120 mins). If travelling from London or Bristol, take the train from Exeter St Davids to Okehampton (38 miles). Catch Stagecoach Bus 6 to Bude, then Bus 95 from Bude Strand to Tintagel.

You can also connect with Bus 95 at Newquay Station (28 miles) - buses depart from opposite the station. Passengers travelling from West Cornwall Stations will probably find that travelling via Bodmin Parkway is quicker.
