Food and Drink

After you've explored the castle and its wonderful gardens to your heart's content, rest your feet with a visit to one of the castle’s tearooms. There’s plenty of room to sit inside and out, and an ever-changing seasonal menu ensures there's always something new and delicious to enjoy.

From Plot to Plate

We use as much produce from the Kitchen Garden as we can. With vegetables grown on a three-year rotation with a new design each year, there’s always something new to admire – and taste.

The Lord Warden's Tea Room

Offering a seasonal menu of snacks, lunches and homemade cakes along with a range of hot and cold drinks, you’ll find the Lord Warden’s Tea Room tucked into the castle’s old fortifications.

We offer milk alternatives and cater to a variety of dietary requirements and menu choices. Please note that some items may not always be available, and there may be additional options not listed on the menu. To ensure you have the most current information, we recommend asking about allergens during your visit.

The Glasshouse Café

Enjoy views of the beautiful Kitchen Garden over a selection of sandwiches, snacks and afternoon teas.
