Due to technical works, the lift at Whitby Abbey is currently out of service. Level access is available via the Headland car park entrance. If you wish to access the shop - three accessible parking spaces are available near the shop or drop-off at the turning circle next to the church. Apologies for any inconvenience. Prices and Opening Times for Whitby Abbey
Advance booking
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
