Audley End House and Gardens
SUITABLE FORChildren
Gather your little monsters for a ghoulishly good day out at Audley End House and Gardens this half-term.
Follow the quest to solve creepy clues and gather round to listen to spooky stories.
Join Audley End’s very own Victorian ghost hunters as they take you on a spooky family-friendly adventure.
They’ll tell interactive spine-tingling stories and spill the secrets of ghost-hunting techniques from the 19th century. You’ll even find out how the Victorians tried to speak with spirits from beyond the grave…
Activity timings:
'Who you gonna call?' at 11am and 2pm - Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night? Have you, or any of your family ever seen a spook, spectre or ghost? If the answer is yes, then call the professionals… and if it is 1884, they are the Society for Psychical Research!
'Spirits Levelled' at 12 noon and 3pm - Do you know your Frankenstein’s Monster from your Mr Hyde? How to deal with a vampire infestation? Can you spot a true spiritualist from a fake? We hope so because our lot certainly can’t.
'Fairy Interesting' at 1pm - Join the very true, accurate and surprisingly fiery debate on fairies. Are you team skeptic or team believer? Surprising genuine Victorian arguments in favour of the otherworldly folk, just try and stay calm!
