Free car park on site with overflow on grass area. Parking for disabled visitors available. The main access gate to the site is 9'6" (h) x 9' (w) so vehicles larger than this will need to seek assistance from staff before trying to enter. Please note visitors for the miniature railway need to park in their car park across the road. Special events held at Audley End may have different parking information and prices, please check the event's website for details.
There are two cafés at Audley End.
The Tearoom serves light lunches, snacks and hot and cold drinks. It also serves fresh soups made from vegetables grown in the organic kitchen garden, according to the time of year.
The Cart Yard café, next to the playground, serves a selection of sandwiches and hot and cold drinks.

Dogs on leads permitted in the grounds. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Lively interactive displays trace the development of the estate, and allow visitors to ‘virtually’ meet the Victorian outdoor staff of Audley End, including the land steward, head gardener, gamekeeper, cowman and groom.
Special days throughout the season when visitors can see and hear from costumed interpreters cooking, washing and ironing in traditional ways. Please see the Events section for details.
Fine formal Victorian gardens in the process of being restored to their former glory. Walled organic kitchen garden stocked to match the 1800s plants. River Cam dammed to provide artificial lake.
Extensive grassed areas ideal for family activities. Bike stands available by Lion Gates, but please do not ride bikes inside the grounds. Kites are welcome.

It is a traffic route from the ticket office to the front of the house as you access the car park. Please take care when entering and leaving the site.

If you are looking to use one of our sites for commercial, corporate or professional photography or as a filming location, please contact our filming team as soon as possible to check availability and acquire the relevant permissions and paperwork.
Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
