Free parking, with overflow on grass area. Note that the main access gate to the site is 9’6” high by 9’ wide. Please ask staff for help if your vehicle is bigger than this. Special events held at Audley End may have different parking information and prices. Please check the special event's website for details.

There are two cafés at Audley End. The Tearoom serves light lunches, snacks and hot and cold drinks. The Cart Yard café, next to the playground, serves a selection of sandwiches and hot and cold drinks.

You are very welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds.

The shop sells a 'Victorian Gardens' range plus a wide range of souvenirs such as wines, books, jewellery, jams, regional food and products from our very own organic garden.

There are male and female toilets by the Tearoom and the Cart Yard Café. Baby changing facilities available at both locations.

Dogs on leads permitted in the grounds. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Display in the Stable Block about the landscaping and development of the estate. Includes interactive audio and visual system.

Fine formal Victorian gardens.. Walled organic kitchen garden. River Cam dammed to provide artificial lake. Extensive grassed areas. Kites welcome.

Yes, please ask a member of staff at the cafe. We have a microwave in the tearoom.

Push Chairs Allowed

Yes, but pushchairs are not allowed in the house for conservation reasons and must be left in the Bucket Hall. Hip seats and slings can be provided for carrying small children or babies.

Please look out for cars when walking between the ticket office, the front of the house and the car park.

If you are looking to use one of our sites for commercial, corporate or professional photography or as a filming location, please contact our filming team as soon as possible to check availability and acquire the relevant permissions and paperwork.

Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
