UNLIMITED ACCESS TO OVER 400 HISTORIC PLACES

The grounds, which measure approximately 100 metres by 100 metres, contain the low level ruins of the abbey. There are no pathways other than the initial access to the site, and visitors are encouraged to walk informally amongst the ruins.
Notable walks include the 'Parrett Trail', a marked route along the nearby River Parrett. The site is also close to designated National Cycle Route 339.
Wildlife is plentiful in rural Somerset. The re-introduction of Cranes to the Somerset Levels is a recent project of note, and Red Kites can also be spotted on occasion.
