The car park is next to the entrance, so setting down is best here.

There are currently no ‘marked’ accessible bays, however parking is free for all visitors.
OnSite Transport
We have a manual wheelchair that we can loan to visitors.
Stairs
Motte: 50 steps to the top. There are handrails on both sides to the first half of the stairs to the top of the motte. There is a small landing with only one side with railings. Then there are railings on both sides until the top of the staircase.
Diate Tower: approximately 20 steps up to the entrance to Diate Tower. There are railings on both sides for the first few steps, and then only on one side, with solid wall on the other.
Midway through the visitor journey there is a flight of approximately 15 steps into the moat and the same back up again.

There are no lifts on site.
Seating And Restpoints
There are benches available at two points of the visitor journey with arm rests and backs, there is also low walling that can be used as a rest point.
Pathways Surface And Gradients
There are gravel paths from the carpark to the ticket office, and then a little way onto the site. From that point the site is all grass and an uneven terrain.
