Car enthusiasts are invited to enjoy a celebration of classic motoring this summer, showcasing an impressive collection of vehicles spanning from the 1920s through to the 1980s and 1990s. Visitors can admire iconic models from renowned British marques including Austin Motor Company, Jaguar and Morris Motors, as well as performance cars like Lamborghinis’ and Bentleys’. 

Beyond the cars, guests can make a full day of the experience by exploring the surrounding gardens, enjoying the adventure play area, or relaxing with refreshments from the on-site tearoom.

Throughout the day, enjoy the classic cars and Motorbikes and join us at the back of the Hall to hear Weird and Wonderful car stories. Tales of motor racing will take place in front of the church and last approximately 30 minutes. Full Throttle Ahead and Steered to scandal will take place on the Grassed area - North Drive.

Event timings:

• 10.30am - Tales of motor racing - Join Captain D. Arstardly as he recounts how he ALMOST won at Le Mans - darn you, I'll get you next time. Captain Dickie tells full throttle tales of exploits alongside the racing greats.
• 11.15am - Weird and Wonderful car stories - Interactive storytelling based on strange events, weird discoveries and the odd mystery, all involving classic cars.
• 12 noon -  Full Throttle Ahead - Join Discover History as they want you to play a game where all you need to do is reach the finish line. All is not as easy as it sounds as your fate in the race is decided by the roll of a dice. Willing children will represent the cars so choose wisely which team you will support. 
• 12.45pm - Tales of motor racing - With Capt. D. Arstardly 
• 1.30pm - Weird and Wonderful car stories
• 2.15pm - Steered to Scandal - Join Discover History as the give you a hilarious interactive performance, using real stories, on how those were willing to go to extreme lengths, and mostly driven to crime in order of winning a race. 
• 3pm - Tales of motor racing - With Capt. D. Arstardly
• 3.45pm - Weird and Wonderful car stories
• 4.15pm - Full Throttle Ahead

Uncle Algie’s crashed his car again; bits of car parts are scattered all over the grounds! Find them all, take a photo of each one and collect your prize!
