Plan Your Visit

Food and Drink at Osborne

Although Osborne no longer hosts grand feasts for European royalty, you’ll still be spoilt for choice for food and drink on your visit. Treat yourself to lunch in the Terrace Restaurant, an ice-cream on the beach or a snack in the Petty Officers' Quarters.

You can find allergen and nutritional information here.

The Petty Officers' Quarters Cafe

The café in the visitor centre is open to everyone, including those not visiting the site. You’ll find a fantastic selection of light lunches, soups, snacks and cakes, and a wide range of hot and cold drinks.

With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect place to start your adventure at Osborne or to reward yourself after a busy day exploring.

Kids' lunchboxes are available and there is a children's play area next to the car park just in front of the visitor centre.

Open when the site is open | 10am - 4pm

The Terrace Restaurant and Deli Bar

During the winter months The Terrace is open for cream teas, cake and hot drinks.  Treat yourself to a warm cup of tea with Osborne made Victoria Sponge or perhaps spoil yourself with a glass of wine alongside a hot gourmet hog roast sausage roll.

Open when the site is open | 10am - 3pm

The Pavilion Beach Ice-Cream Parlour

Indulge in an ice cream on Queen Victoria’s private beach. Our parlour serves the Isle of Wight's famous Minghella Ice Cream, and with plenty of outdoor seating it’s the perfect place to soak up fantastic views across the Solent.

In fine weather you’ll be able to watch sailing boats bobbing about on the waves – and you may be tempted to take a dip in the sea yourself. In the winter months, you might prefer cake, coffee or a homemade soup to keep you warm.

Open when the site is open | 10am - 3pm

The Gazelle House Cake Shop

The Gazelle Hut was originally a shelter for the animals Prince Albert brought back from his tour of Egypt in 1862.

Now it is a hidden haven to stop by for a coffee and a slice of cake while you are exploring the Swiss Cottage, before continuing your tour of the Osborne Estate.

Closed until Spring 2024.
