The basement, the Great Hall dias and the Minstrel’s Gallery are accessed by stairs only.

Visitors can be dropped off at the Visitors Centre and there are three designated disabled parking bays by the entrance and a ramp to allow for wheelchair access.

Stairs
There are sweeping staircases to the first floor. Access to the basement is by stairs only.
Lift Access
Please note, the lift at Eltham Palace is currently out of service, and the upper floors of the house are only accessible via the stairs. A virtual tour is available via our multimedia guides for those who aren’t able to access the area.
Seating And Restpoints
There are many benches and resting points located around the grounds.
Pathways Surface And Gradients
Some undulation in the grounds and paths. From the Visitors Centre, there is then a 150m lightly gravelled path to the house. The bridge leading on to the turning circle is cobbled.
