    Parking for approx 48 spaces. Additional parking is in the village nearby (approx 200 metres) or there is a Long Stay car park near the beach (charges may apply).

    Parking charges apply to non-members. Parking free for members.

    Vending machine selling tea and coffee, and light snacks (ice-cream, crisps and confectionery).  For more substantial meals, the nearest facilities are located in the village close by.

    You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds. There are no picnic benches but you may use any of the grassed areas across the site.

    The Duke's Rooms are furnished rooms within the castle keep. For conservation reasons The Duke's Rooms are only open to the public on certain days during the summer months. Please contact the site directly for opening times (phone number 01665 711423).

    Wedding photography permitted, but this must be booked in advance. English Heritage welcomes all photographers to our sites and we hope you will share your pictures with us on Flickr and Facebook. We do have some restrictions at certain locations, so if photography is your main reason for visiting, please call the site ahead of your visit to check if any parts of the site are restricted. If you are interested in using English Heritage sites for commercial photography this must be arranged in advance.
