There's a car park opposite the castle across the road, managed by Dover District Council. Free for English Heritage members displaying a valid car sticker. Non-members must pay via the RingGo app, or by cash or card during public opening times in the castle shop. Seasonally and subject to weather the onsite overflow field will be open, free for all.

When the onsite overflow is closed, there will be 5 accessible parking spaces available for blue badge holders on a first come first served basis, and disabled passengers can be dropped off at the castle entrance.

Walmer Castle is on the coast, south of Walmer, on the A258. It’s accessible via Junction 13 of the M20.
