With an extreme heat warning in place, Gainsborough Old Hall will close at 2.30pm on Friday 26th June, with last entry at 1.45pm. Please bring plenty of water, take breaks as needed, and consider the warm conditions if you’re planning to bring your dog to the shop and cafe.

Food and drink at Gainsborough Old Hall

After exploring the Old Hall, relax and recharge in the café in the 15th-century parlour. It’s a place that has long been used for conversation and socialising: in the 19th-century, the room became the town’s Literary Institute, and it was later used as a Masonic Temple.

Here you’ll find teas, coffees and a variety of cold drinks, along with a selection of morning pastries and delicious cakes and ice creams. We have vegan and gluten-free options, and we also stock treats for your four-legged friends.
