Marvellous medicines

In the 17th century, the Countess of Kent, Elizabeth Grey, wrote one of the first ever celebrity cookbooks. (Or did she?) Plus, it wasn't just filled with recipes for her favourite dinners: it also contained some mad medicines for different illnesses too... snail slime, anyone? Find out more below!

Also this month: can you spot all the birds in our downloadable guide? Plus, find out about historic sports and games and colour a castle with our top pages to explore this month.
