UNLIMITED ACCESS TO OVER 400 HISTORIC PLACES
Live and breathe the story of England at royal castles, historic gardens, forts & defences, world-famous prehistoric sites and many others.
As Apethorpe Palace is a private residence, parking at the site is only available for the duration of the tour. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the tour starts as no parking is permitted in Laundry Lane, adjacent to Apethorpe Palace.
In order to minimise the impact that tours have on floors and floor coverings, please wear shoes that are suitable for indoor use and please do not wear high heels. Shoe covers will be provided during wet weather. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access. It is also not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties as there are a lot of stairs with no resting/seating points.
Unfortunately we are unable to allow dogs anywhere onto the site, including the car park. As there is no shade within the car parking area, dogs cannot be left in cars, so we kindly ask that you do not bring your dog with you on the day of your visit.
The tour will last approx. 1 and ½ hours and the gates will be locked to the site 10 minutes after the tour start time. Once the tour is complete, there is no access to the site and we ask that if exploring the village, you please respect the privacy of the residents by parking courteously, away from houses.
Please note no photography will be permitted on these tours. There is a maximum of 18 people per tour and they are not suitable for children under 12. Those aged 12-16 will need to be accompanied by an adult and purchase an adult ticket. Please be aware there are on-going renovations at Apethorpe Palace.
Please note, as this is a private residence, the tour price applies to both members and non-members.

Apethorpe Palace is located off the A43 towards King's Cliffe. On entering Apethorpe along King's Cliffe Road you will see The Kings Head Public house on the right, take the right hand turning on the corner just after the pub, go forward slowly onto Laundry Lane. If you enter via Bridge Street, go along the main high street, past the stone cross and turn left onto Laundry Lane. Please note that this is very narrow residential lane and we request that visitors observe a 10mph speed limit on entry and exit. Parking is available on site for the duration of the tour time only.
North Northamptonshire Council have advised that the A43 Stanford Road is closed between Priors Hall Golf Club and Deene Park from now until the 2 September. An alternative route from Kettering is available via the A14 and A605 Peterborough Road.
