No parking available on site. There is a charged car park on Park Lane (about 1/4 mile away) that is not managed by English Heritage. Visitors have to cross very busy roads to reach the site. Limited, free parking is available for disabled visitors. It is essential to phone the site and book parking in advance. The parking spaces are between 5-15 metres away from the entrance. Cobbled forecourt with 5 steps to the front door. Please note there is no ramp available.

Although there is no picnic area on the site, Hyde Park is close to the house.

Shop selling items relating to the 1st Duke of Wellington, art, architecture, and the Battle of Waterloo.

No dogs are allowed on site but we do make an exception for access dogs.

The collection of paintings at Apsley House contains about 200 of the finest works of art in London. It is a treasure house of pictures that originally belonged to the king of Spain, and which were removed from the Spanish royal palaces by Napoleon Bonaparte's brother, Joseph.

There are no gardens at this site, but Hyde Park is very close by.

Multi-media touchscreen guides are included in the admission price, and as well as English are also in German, Spanish and BSL. The tours cover each room and include the history of the Duke of Wellington, the house and the artwork on show. Induction loops are available and there is also an audio descriptive tour for the hard of hearing.

Family Learning

Our multimedia audioguide has a section dedicated to children and labelled as 'family' and is available in French. Please ask staff.

Due to security restrictions we do not have facilities for bag storage at Apsley House. The maximum size of luggage that we permit into the house is regulation international cabin baggage 56cm L x 45cm W x 25cm D
