The Stables, Cart Yard Playground and Cafe, Organic Kitchen Gardens, and Elysian Garden at Audley End House and Gardens is closed today Wednesday 29 April 2026 due to dangerously high winds. We will continue to monitor the condition and open these areas as soon as it is safe to do so. We always do everything we can to avoid unexpected closures like this.

Last admission to the grounds is 1 hour before the site closes, and last admission to the house is 1 hour and 30 minutes before the site closes.
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
