FESTIVAL OF ARCHAEOLOGY 

The Nature of the Neolithic

Have you wondered what the landscape might have looked like 5000 years ago? Or what brought our predecessors here, to settle and to build these incredible monuments? Volunteer EH Guides will take you back to the plants and animals that would have welcomed those settlers, and look at the living nature - particularly the lichens - at the site today.

Handling collection and activity sheets available throughout the day

Event held in conjunction with Keswick Museum where there will be a further talk from a guest speaker at 3pm.
