Limited free on-street parking nearby.

You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds. There are five picnic benches on site.

Gift shop is located at the entrance, selling a selection of English Heritage souvenirs and gifts, including books.

No toilets on site. Nearest public toilet is in the village, about 70 metres away.

Dogs on leads are welcome to the castle. 

An exhibition about notable personalities from the castle’s past includes a replica of the beautiful Middleham Jewel, a 15th-century pendant decorated with a large sapphire found near the castle.

There is plenty of space for children to run around and explore the ruins.
