Costumes from Dunkirk film on show at Dover Castle
A pop-up exhibition featuring costumes worn by stars of the film is now open
Costumes worn by Kenneth Branagh, Harry Styles and Fionn Whitehead in the upcoming Christopher Nolan film Dunkirk are featuring in a pop-up exhibition at Dover Castle.
The exhibition is being held in the Secret Wartime Tunnels beneath the castle, where the massive evacuation at Dunkirk was masterminded in 1940.
The costumes of the three characters from the film feature at Dover Castle in a UK exclusive.
English Heritage Senior Curator, Rowena Willard Wright, said:
'We are delighted to host this exclusive pop-up exhibition in conjunction with this new film.
'Dover Castle's secret wartime tunnels are an ideal location, as they were where Admiral Ramsay masterminded the 'miracle of Dunkirk'.
'He, and the men and women of the Royal Navy, worked around the clock to muster all available shipping, from naval destroyers to pleasure steamers, to provide the life-line that saved over 338,000 allied troops.'
Entry to the Dunkirk costume exhibition is included with the general admission ticket to Dover Castle. This exhibition forms part of the permanent Operation Dynamo guided tour experience and will run until the end of August.
The film opens worldwide on July 21.
