TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 1. The Promoter

    1.1 The promoter is: English Heritage of The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH.

  • 2. The Prize Draw

    2.1 The title of the prize draw is 'Win tickets to The Play That Goes Wrong plus afternoon tea'.

  • 3. How to Enter

    3.1 The prize draw will run from 00:01am on 1 August 2024 to 11:59pm on 1 September 2024 inclusive.

    3.2 All prize-draw entries must be received by English Heritage by no later than 11:59pm on 1 September 2024. All prize-draw entries received after this time are automatically disqualified.

    3.3 To enter the prize draw:

    Enter the prize draw online by completing and the online entry form provided.

    3.4   English Heritage will not accept:

    (a) responsibility for prize-draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

    (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the prize draw.

    3.5 By submitting a prize-draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

    3.6 The prize-draw winner will be selected at random by English Heritage. The decision of English Heritage acting reasonably will be final.

  • 4. Eligibility

    4.1 The prize draw is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except: employees or members of their immediate families or households of English Heritage or Our Media or their holding or subsidiary companies.

    4.2 In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. English Heritage may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw.

    4.3 English Heritage will not accept prize-draw entries that are:

    (a) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
    (b) incomplete.

    4.4 There is a limit of one entry per person.

    4.5 English Heritage reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

  • 5. The Prize

    5.1 One English Heritage member will receive four tickets to see The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre, London, valid for all performances (excluding Saturdays and October half term) until 29 November, subject to availability.

    5.2 Also included is a pre-show Classic Afternoon Tea London Sightseeing Bus Tour for four from Brigit’s Bakery.

    5.3 No cash alternative.

    5.4 Travel not included.

  • 6. Winner Announcement

    6.1 English Heritage will contact the winner personally by 14 September 2024 using the email address provided with the prize-draw entry.

    6.2 The decision of English Heritage is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

    6.3 English Heritage will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available within seven days, English Heritage reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received on or before 1 September 2024.

    6.4 English Heritage does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  • 7. Limitation of Liability

    7.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, English Heritage, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of English Heritage, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  • 9. Data Protection and Publicity

    9.1 By entering the prize draw, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the prize draw entry may be held and used only by English Heritage or its agents and suppliers to administer the prize draw.

  • 10. General

    10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, English Heritage may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

    10.2 English Heritage reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

    10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
