  • Food And Drink

    V

Our main restaurant, the NAAFI restaurant, is housed in the 1868 Regimental Institute, so was used as a canteen by the soldiers once stationed here. Here we have a full range of hot foods, all freshly cooked on site using local ingredients wherever possible. We also have sandwiches, home-made soup, local scones, a great range of cakes, plus tubs of local ice-cream.

Built into the original Napoleonic Tunnel complex of the Secret Wartime Tunnels, we have a small Tunnels Tea Room alongside the shop. Here we sell a range of sandwiches, cakes and ice cream. You can visit this part of the tunnels even if not doing one of the two guided tours.

In the castle bailey, the Great Tower Coffee Shop is an excellent stop for light refreshments, including teas, coffee, and an array of hot and cold snacks.

See our Food and Drink page for more details.
