Lift out of order
On Saturday 5th, 19th and 26th September, Eltham Palace will have earlier closing times: The house will close at 12pm (with last entry at 11.30am). The grounds will close at 2pm (with last entry at 1pm). Please note that our lift is currently out of order and we apologise for the inconvenience. Please ask a team member for our alternative offer.
Prices and Opening times for Eltham Palace and Gardens
Advance booking
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
You can join as a member online or during your visit.

Heritage Open Days this September
Eltham Palace and Gardens will be offering free entry with no booking required to all visitors to both the house and grounds* for Heritage Open Days on:
- Monday 14 September, 10am - 5pm
- Saturday 19 September, from 10am - 2pm (The House will close at 12 noon)
On these Heritage Open Days there will be a new and exclusive Servants Tour running at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm each day (subject to availability).
