Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

    There is ample parking, and is roughly 70 metres from the site entrance. There are two coach spaces in the on site car park. Free parking is available in Lostwithiel, although it is over a mile away from the castle and at the top of a hill (a walk which some visitors may find tiring).

    The nearest bus stop to Restormel Castle is The Royal Talbot in Lostwithiel. The castle is then a 1.1mile / 1.8km walk along a minor road.

    Service 28 (or 428) runs from St Austell Bus Station to Lostwithiel Royal Talbot. Operating times vary, see website for details. There are regular bus connections at St Austell from Fowey, Mevagissey, Newquay and Truro.

    Travel Cornwall Bus 482 runs on Wednesdays only from Polperro and Looe. This bus offers a limited stay in Lostwithiel of approx. 2.5 hours.
