SUITABLE FORAdults
Join us to celebrate the launch of the Dover Castle Under Siege project, with an exclusive look at the project before it opens to the public. Meet members of the project team, Senior Properties Historian Paul Pattison and Senior Interpretation Manager David Thomas, who will talk about the goals, challenges and processes of the project.
We will begin by exploring the history of Dover Castle’s medieval Spur Tunnels, followed by a tour looking at the design intentions of the Siege Play Area, which will then lead us through the Spur Tunnels onto the Spur itself.
The event will start at Constable’s Tower where refreshments will be included, comprising a hot drink and a sweet treat. This event is graded as challenging access, as the tunnels include three staircases and a steep decline, and there are stairs inside Constable’s Tower where the event finishes.
ALL SESSIONS OF THIS EVENT ARE NOW SOLD OUT.
Although these tours are now sold out, members can still experience early self-led access to Dover Castle Under Siege on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July before it opens to the public on Monday 22 July. Booking is not required but is recommended - find out more here.
