Sir Robert McAlpine are generously supporting our Conservation on the Road programme which, over the next three years, will involve our specially-equipped van travelling up and down the country to showcase our vital conservation work. The programme aims to engage visitors at sites undergoing conservation projects around the country and inspire our visitors to consider careers in the heritage and construction industries.
Our Conservation in Action van enables us to put on hands-on pop-up workshops which offer visitors the opportunity to learn about a range of conservation topics. Topics include caring for masonry, stone-shaping and learning about how our staff care for the historic building interiors and collections in our care. The programme of workshops will be delivered by trained facilitators and volunteers between April and October each year.
