Corporate Partnerships

Recent Partnerships

Over recent years, English Heritage has partnered with a wide range of companies.

Keymer

Keymer, the handmade roofing tile manufacturer, supported our Conservation in Action interpretation programme at Dover Castle from 2021 - 2022.

In the summer of 2021, we embarked on a major conservation project to maximise Dover Castle’s potential and ensure its survival for future generations. We repaired stonework to keep the walls, towers and gatehouses in good condition and replaced sections of the roof of Constable’s Tower. Keymer’s support enabled us to create an inspiring programme at Dover Castle related to these works including interpretation panels, workshops and tours. As part of the partnership, Keymer delivered tile-making workshops at the castle, engaging visitors in traditional heritage skills, methods, and materials.

Knight Frank

Estate agency Knight Frank supported our Blue Plaques scheme, which commemorates publics figures and the iconic buildings they lived in, from 2015-2020.

As part of the partnership, Knight Frank were credited online, in print and in press releases. They enjoyed privilieged access to our Blue Plaque plans and had the opportunity to activate the partnership at special unveiling events and through bespoke walking tours.

Smart Energy GB

In 2020, we partnered with Smart Energy GB to produce a series of films that highlight the impact of climate change on our historical sites. These films showcased how smart meters, and other actions we are taking across the charity, can help tackle these challenges and improve energy efficiency across our sites.

Google Arts & Culture

Google Arts & Culture works to make art, culture, history and heritage accesible to everyone through technology.

Our partnership in 2018 saw us work together to digitise 29 English Heritage sites and collections using Google’s expertise and to present them on the Google Arts & Culture platform. Sites include Tintagel Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, Kenwood House, Wrest Park, Dover Castle, Osborne and Kenwood.

This was the first time Google Arts & Culture had worked with a heritage organisation and enabled English Heritage to create a highly immersive and curated experience covering the full breadth of English history. Through our partnership, we’ve been able to bring people closer to our historic masterpieces than ever before.

MINI

In October 2018, MINI Countryman partnered with English Heritage through their sponsorship of our Autumn Family Events programme. They were offered attractive rights to activate the partnership at several key English Heritage sites and received acknowledgement of their support in targeted communications to English Heritage audiences, including Members, visitors and across English Heritage’s social media channels.

Through their association with English Heritage, MINI were able to authentically raise brand visibility and drive consideration of the MINI Countryman with families - MINI’s target audience for this activity.

Ecotricity

Ecotricity and English Heritage worked together on a green energy partnership from 2018-2019. The partnership saw some of our most historic sites become more environmentally friendly as we worked together to reduce our energy use, cut our carbon emissions and become a greener and more sustainable charity.

In partnership with Ecotricity, we worked to put environmental sustainability first to help improve our green credentials and encourage English Heritage Members, staff and volunteers to consider their own carbon footprint.

House Festival

English Heritage has worked with Soho House & Co. since 2007 to stage the annual House Festival, a fabulous day-long party packed with incredible food and live music.

In 2018 and 2019 House Festival was held at Kenwood House in London. Each year, as part of their support, the Soho House & Co. makes a significant donation to English Heritage which in 2019 was used to help maintain Kenwood and its surrounding park.
