Each hard-wearing stone is available in three formats and four distinct colourways: Belsay Blue Beige, Blackfriars Cream, Brockhurst Blue and Marble Hill White. Each stone has been chosen for its character and quality as the best natural stone stands the test of time. Marble Hill White
Marble Hill was built in the 1720s for Henrietta Howard, mistress of King George II when he was Prince of Wales. With its elegant interiors, this Palladian style Georgian period villa is one of London’s finest historic houses.
Marble Hill was saved from destruction in 1902 and is one of the last complete survivors of the palatial villas and gardens that once bordered the Thames in Twickenham.
The elegant interiors, and in particular the spacious hall of this Georgian villa provided the inspiration for the Marble Hill White limestone floor.

Fort Brockhurst in Gosport, guarding Portsmouth harbour, dates back to the mid-nineteenth century and was built to defend England’s shores from invasion by the French. Fortunately, that never occurred and this impressive and heavily fortified polygonal fort remains undamaged by enemy fire.
The robust fortifications of Fort Brockhurst are where the Brockhurst Blue limestone flooring found its inspiration.

One of the most complete Dominican friaries from the Middle Ages, Blackfriars was built in the thirteenth-century to house forty friars who worshipped, preached and carried out charitable work. In the sixteenth-century it became a mansion and weaving factory before the west range was converted into terraced housing and the library into a bottling plant.
The friary’s limestone floors have withstood almost seven centuries of constant wear. The surviving structures and the friary’s long history provided the inspiration for our Blackfriars Cream flooring.

Set in 30-acres of Grade I listed gardens, Belsay Hall is a Regency style country house in Northumberland widely regarded as the first British country house built entirely in the fashionable Greek revival style. It was built over 200 years ago to owner Sir Charles Monck’s design.
The impressive Pillar Hall atrium at the centre of Belsay Hall, with its limestone Doric columns and brass balustrades, has the feel of a classical villa.
The wonderful mellow patina of the limestone found in the Pillar Hall at Belsay Hall is the inspiration for the Belsay Blue Beige flooring.
